About the Therapist

I’m Lindsey, and I’m here to listen to, encourage, and challenge clients to move them towards their personal and relational goals.

I have supported adults, couples, and teenagers through managing and overcoming depression, anxiety, grief & loss. I help client navigate the fallout from trauma and abusive childhood experiences. This can look like people-pleasing, emotional guardedness, intense fear of abandonment, impulsive pleasure-seeking, and avoidance of present-moment experiences.

I do not shy away from the uncomfortable topics, leaning into the tender moments that make therapy meaningful. I also bring laughter and humor into the room to remind ourselves not to take life too seriously.

I completed trainings in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapies, and Motivational Interviewing.

I received my Masters of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Asheville and am licensed by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors as an LCMHC.

    Individual Therapy

A place for development of self-insight and judgement-free expression, individual therapy encourages us to slow down and be with the fullest and most raw versions of ourselves. My therapeutic approach is centered in embracing present-moment experiences while drawing connections between past attachment wounds and current distress or challenges. I hold a mirror up to my clients, encouraging acknowledgement and non-judgement of even our darkest parts.

    Couples Therapy

I support couples experiencing disconnection, loneliness, difficulty managing conflict, and those who are recovering from infidelity. Couples can engage in therapy to reinvigorate their relationship and “relearn” each other as they are today. I’m trained in both Gottman Method and Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapies and will bring pieces of each modality into session to tailor my approach to the needs of the couple sitting across from me.
